I received many wonderful new year texts with all kind of sparkled and special effects. Each message brought a smile to my face and gratitude to my heart. However, the message I received from my friend, Marguerite, provided me with new insight on how to master 2019.
Her message said "365 new days, 365 new chances". Those six words packed so much power and touched me profoundly. I never looked at the year and broke it down to such simplicity. Just think knowing and appreciating that each day is a new day and I have the opportunity to not repeat mistakes of yesterday but meet a new day with new opportunities and new accomplishments. The magic of the six words is the fact that there are 365 NEW chances. Yesterday I made excuses not to work out. Today was a new day and I have a new chance. I walked to the gym and did a mat Pilates class. Yesterday I procrastinated and spent the day snacking and watching parade floats. Today, new day and new chance so I sat down to write this blog and prepare myself for the joy that I will experience in being open to each new day in 2019. What a treat!
I charge you to appreciate the gift of receiving 365 new days and 365 new chances. What will you do differently? To climb a mountain you focus on one step at a time and before long you are at the top of the mountain. So for the big and lofty goals you are desiring, don't become overwhelmed by the goal but look at the recipe of 365 new days and 365 new chances. Break it down to what is one thing you can do with your new day to move you closer to the goal and know that each new day brings a new chance. Inch by inch, step by step, day by day and Voila you have manifested your mountain of dreams.
