We are each born great. We are born with everything we need to bring our unique gifts to the world. Wyatt, my beautiful nephew is one month old. When I held him he was loving vibrant, inquisitive, and cuddly. He studied me and then I felt his love and compassion pour into me. After a while he realized that he was hungry and communicated this to me. When he had enough he left out a satisfied sigh and relaxed into my arms. Wyatt at a month old demonstrated a sense of appreciation for his place in the world, for his parents, and even to me. I experienced the joy of his being. Greatness for Wyatt was evidenced.
With the gift that we are born great, what may have disrupted the birth right of greatness that was given to each of us. Ego, mistreatment by others, lack of nurturing are just a few blocks. However, our gifts we were born with can be regained. I gave a recipe in the previous blog to approach 365 new days with 365 new chances. That is an important step. Let’s look at ego because it may be blocking some of the growth that is available to you, Kundalini yoga teaches that when the ego Is not aligned with the soul, disruption occurs. This disruption can interfere with living your best life. It can also add to the worry about what others think and what others may say. Kundalini yoga offers an exercise called ego eradicator.
Ego eradicator is a powerful technique to reenergize and recalibrate the body, mind, and spirit. I recommend that you take three minutes each morning and do the ego eradicator meditation. Examples of how to do it can be found on YouTube. YouTube instructions are easy to follow and can help you bring about incredible results. See the link below for a demonstration.

This exercise will also facilitate you getting connected to your soul and uncover what it is that is most important for you to accomplish and experience
Ask yourself what is my why? What is important for me to experience and why? When you have clarity on what you want and why, it becomes easier to maintain your focus and do what is necessary to make it happen.
Know your why? Find out what is holding you back? What can you do with the 365 chances you have gifted to you for 2019? What can you do once you eradicate the disruption the ego offers when it is not being helpful and connecting you with your soul?
We are building on our recipe by adding nourishment and nurturing.
We had a guest speaker at my church recently and he talked about a fig tree that had not produced any fruit for four years. It was suggested to chop it down because it was taking up space and was barren. However, someone said let’s give it one more year and in the year, fertilize it , make certain the tree is well watered and just give extra care. If after this extra attention is given and nothing happens, we can cut it down. The tree flourished that year with all the nourishment and nurturing it received. As I listened to the message, I thought about a few days before I told my husband that I didn’t feel 2018 had been as fruitful as other years. No major achievements, just business as usual. My husband started reminding me of many things I had done which I just took for granted. I realize that he was giving me the nourishment by reminding me of many accomplishments he had observed. It is important to have a support person that can be your champion. It is also important for you to be aware of who you are and what you are doing. I had taken myself for granted. Nourishment can come by paying attention to what you are doing and what you are experiencing. Keep a journal and each day write the gifts you are giving and receiving. The magic is that the more you appreciate about yourself, the more you are given and the more you flourish.
One additional ingredient to the recipe is laughter. Laughter does the body good. Find reasons to laugh each day. It is a mind regulator removing fear, tension, and allowing flow to occur. The more relaxed and at ease you are the clearer your vision and the better choices you make.
We have the awareness that we have 365 NEW days and 365 NEW chances to use. We have an exercise to get rid of the destructive part of Ego. We have the opportunity to gain clarity on what we want to experience and why so that we can stay on track. We have the awareness of how important nourishment and nurturing is for our growth. Lastly we can laugh each day and through laughter exercise the entire body so that we can have ease and flow in our lives.
Know that you were born to be great and whatever blocks may be getting in your way they can be moved so seize the day and begin now.
